Leah realized at a very young age that creativity was the language of her heart. With her younger brother, she spent her childhood finger painting, chalking up our driveway, and constructing Lego houses to their hearts' content. Throughout high school, Leah studied art, and made the decision to move to Davis, California to attend their Interior Design program. It was one of the best decisions she ever made. Leah is currently working in Sacramento, where she now lives with her wonderful husband. They've both been bitten by the travel bug, and are currently planning a trip to New Zealand, and potentially another trip to Austria half a year later. Leah can't wait to gain even more design inspiration from the world!
Describe your go-to style:
I have a love for all things modern, especially mid-century style pieces. However, mixing vintage pieces into a contemporary home is one of my favorite things! Finding the perfect mix of old and new, or updating an older home while maintaining its charm make for some of the most fun and inspiring projects.
We know you love designing, but what about it do you love most?
My absolute favorite part of designing is the interactive side of it. I love to hear people's stories and find out what gets them excited, so that I can get inspired along with them and create a space that will truly feel like home to them.
Describe your favorite project:
My favorite project I've completed so far was a landscape design for a huge, sloped backyard. The clients gave me free reign to create something modern and functional. I ended up creating a multi-level yard complete with a deck, pool, botchee ball court, and custom firepit. It was one of the most rewarding projects, and so much fun!
