Contemporary Organic Master Bedroom & Kids Room

This project is for 3 bedrooms: the master bedroom, and 2 kids rooms.

The priority is the master bedroom.

There is great light in this room but I feel the dark furniture gives the room a heavy feeling. Furniture needs to be replaced and we'd like to have blackout window dressings. I'd love some seating area in the bedroom. Art for walls etc

2nd room is currently our second kid room but we want to turn it into a bedroom/playroom for our other kid.

We'll keep the bed but all other furniture to be replaced. The wardrobe is a good size, there is plenty of storage in it so I'm not sure we'd need another chest of drawers.

We need to replace the blinds also and would like them to be blackout.

The room is the largest of the kids bedrooms so should have a seating area, maybe bean bags etc

Last room we'd like to change to our 6 years olds bedroom, currently his younger brother sleeps there and we didn't do anything else with it since we bought the house. The cot will go and all existing furniture replaced. The window at the back has a ledge which would be great as a reading nook, we'd also like a desk/artist area as he's really into drawing and art and a queen size bed.

We'd like to avoid themed bedrooms (superheroes etc).

I don't like the blinds so would love to update those also and get more light into the room, but also have a blackout blind so it is dark when he needs sleep.


We are currently debating whether we should have the bigger of the boys room a shared bedroom and the smaller one a spare room. We would like to discuss this further.
