Project Description

I recently purchased a condo in Fort Lauderdale and look forward to working with a designer to help create a sense of place. The focus will be on a combined living/dining area. The condo is on the 16th floor of a classic mid-century modern building; my design aesthetic is modern/contemporary but not sterile; inviting, unique and comfortable. I will use the condo as a second home primary during the fall/winter/spring months.. The unit has full South exposure so the light is quite good. As part of creating a sense of space, I'm interested in paint selections, furniture arrangement, art and accessories. The unit has 9'6" ceiling height; I've selected mecho shades as the window treatment; I can provide the details on color and transparency. The floors are tile on a concrete base; the tile will be removed and a micro-topping poured to created a single, monolithic looking floor (white) without any grout lines throughout the unit. I'm a fan of Restoration Hardware, Room & Board and Mitchell Gold from a furniture perspective. I can share a floor plan, pictures of the unit and examples of "looks" from Pinterest to give you a sense of what I find appealing. I hope this is a helpful starter description. I'm also working under some time constraints so eager to move forward quickly I look forward to learning how you approach the space and help me create a vibrant and dynamic home!

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
