Incohesive design. Too much clutter. Uncoordinated colors and textures. Lacks well defined TV sitting area, kid play area (where floor lamp and colored chair is), dining (white table area) and kitchen nook area (currently has swing and pack and play.
Note, that we are about to install a window in kitchen nook behind the swing (52"x52" incl frame) sitting 29" above the floor.
Our preferred style is rustic Combined with modern industrial elements (fans of Magnolia designs). However, our house is Spanish style, which we would like to incorporate where possible. See fireplace tile design. We also love bold designs (included in accessories/art/accents (example is the wall design in master bedroo.), We do like to maintain different textures, and earth tones to warm the place.

Functionally, we would like to concentrate kids activity where the floor lamp and colored chair is currently. And transform the nook into a breakfast nook potentially with bench(es) and table.

All kitchen cabinets, island, barstools, couches, table for coffee maker, tv, TV stand. Coffee table is optional.
