Project Description

We just purchased a lake house in Apple Canyon and looking for help with someone who has experience with Lake home designs, outdoor spaces etc.

Notes:
- It is very cold and can be very hot windows will be changed.
- A contractor will be working with the designer chosen.
- It's challenging to figure what to do with the existing space - basement will be reconstructed to include 2 rooms and bathroom
- Style is more sleek + contemporary
- Project needs to be completed by summer

- Family of 4, dining for 6-8 people
- Maximize the view. Changing sliding doors,
- There are no fixtures, no window treatments
- Not sure if window treatments are needed
- There are no furniture currently

- We get both morning and evening sun. I would like to take advantage of an indoor/outdoor experience as much possible.

- I have a design/furnishing budget of $48k to spread around the various rooms. I can move that money around if necessary. Also, if anyone is interested, I can forward the construction budget, as I am starting to get bids. It is possible some of that money can be moved over to the furnishing budget.

Combined Living/Dining:

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
