Stone Accents Patio and Upper Level Deck Design

Top level of Deck - We would like to remove the windows from our back backdroom and have large doors open to a private second level 3/4 season deck (see videos provided) off the main bedroom and the sitting room/fireplace (tv on top) as an extension of the bedroom. Along the exterior perimeter of the top deck, we would like to have sliding windows that open up or can be removed and a railing across the bottom. Screens may be needed to keep out bugs? A gabled roof with skylights letting in a lot of light would be ideal.

Bottom/Ground level under deck: We like to have a dining area and maybe a swing on the ground level. Our house is a craftsman bungalow and the columns are all craftsman style. We can think about contiuing the brick/craftsman style columns along the back like they are on the side of the house or maybe stone instead of brick with craftsman-like columns? We would grill in the area but may not want anything built in at this time. We also thought about having a two story fireplace that is open to the upstairs inside and possibly to the inside or outisde downstairs (if outside downstairs, maybe turn use as the fire pit with seating aroud it in the yard)?

The yard is slightly sloped but would want to consider fencing on one side and landscaping along the back and sides for privacy/beauty. We are open to ideas here. Trees along back for privacy - Green Giant Thuja (Arborvitae)? Favorite backyard shrubs/plants (boxwoods, azaleas, hydrangias, peonies, dafodillls. Groundcover - Maybe somthing like Liriope?
