Relaxing Open Space Living Room Renovation

Project Description

- Use: We are a recently married couple (no kids) and the living room is our main relaxing space.
- We are looking to create a place where we can relax afterwork that also serves as one of the main rooms in the house. Ideally, this should feel like a high-end hotel/vacation space.
- Concept ideas: We are interested and/or divided between a mix of the following
(A) a Mid Century Modern, Clean and timeless look and/or
(B) a Scandinavian, minimalist but cozy look.
- Regarding our current items in the living room, we would like to keep the couch, TV, and Sound bar. Everything else can be changed.

- we would like find a solution to hide all the cables lying around from the sound bar and other gadgets. If possible, it would be helpful to find a system or solution for this.

- The lighting fixtures of the room are quite harsh for a relaxing evening, although we can't altered the current fixtures of the apartment since it is a lease, we would like to add sort of side-or floor lights in order to accommodate to our likings.

- we are open to replacing the current TV Console to adjust to the new style desired.

Living Room:

Since your room is smaller using a dark and rich color will make it feel cozy, warm, and lounge-like

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
