Pop of Color for the Bedroom, Bathroom, and Dining Project Description
I live in a 2 bedroom one bath apartment. I would like assistance with three spaces in particular: kitchen/dining area (which is one space), small bathroom, and master bedroom. For the kitchen in particular, I may need architectural assistance because I think I want to open the space up. So I don't know if Decorilla can help me with that.
My aesthetic is sort of a modern, take on the Harlem Renaissance. I like spaces that are smart and quirky, juxtaposing the rough edges of the city in an elegant setting. I prefer neutral black and off-white backgrounds with bright pops of royal color and shiny/metallic accents.
I also like dark wood. Maybe a very small hint of Morocco??
I'd like the spaces to feel cohesive. And even though I lean towards a more "glamorous" aesthetic, I want a space that people feel comfortable in. A place where people aren't afraid to eat, socialize, and be.

Very little sunlight What do you currently dislike about the room?
It feels tight and outdated. Not much sunlight gets into the space so I definitely want to brighten it up. I want the space to feel spa-like but still cozy and inviting for the home. What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?
Nothing - I want to gut this bathroom; replacing the tiles, fixtures, and vanity. Are you open to changing your wall colors?

I want the room to feel more cohesive and flow better. It currently feels zoned off between the seating area and the bed. I also think the room should be cohesive with the rest of the apartment (more similar to the completed living room for example). What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?
I would like to keep the bed (just frame, need new bedding) but I can move it to the second bedroom if a different bed works better in the design. I also like my bedside tables and drapery but I'm open to something new as well. The dresser absolutely has to go and I want something more decorative. Are you open to changing your wall colors?

The space feels tight and the area I would like to dine in feels closed off. I want to open up the space and make it feel brighter with a space I would enjoy dining at. What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?
Nothing - I am looking to gut the kitchen and dining area and put in new flooring, cabinets, counters, and possibly appliances. Are you open to changing your wall colors?

Since your room is smaller using this light bright color will enhance the light and the space in your room.
For your main color, I chose to use white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
