Modern Open-Concept Home with Bronze Accents

Project Description:

Looking to design our entire first floor that includes our kitchen, living room and dinning room and a small entry way. We need help with selecting furniture, paint, kitchen cabinet, lighting selection, floor selection and window treatment.

It is a new construction home and move-in is not until end of April to middle of May. I have attached photos of the model house as reference to the room as it will be the exact same size and measurement. Our room will be bare though like a big white box. We did not get any upgrades from the builder except for the kitchen counter and waterfall island. I have attached the brochure.

We will be moving in without any furnitures and items so we will be starting from scratch. We currently have the Cira 2B unit. I attached the link and URL for the builder's website and 3D floor plan for guide.

We are leaning towards having a blue/gold/white/brown theme. We are unsure that style of design is that be we attached inspirational photos as well. We are open to eventually redoing the floor (currently small cheap tiles), cabinets (possibly paint/change to different color), and install a backsplash and upgrade lighting.

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use a matte finish paint because it will be helpful in camouflaging those surface imperfections such as bumps and cracks as it does not reflect light. Just be careful because matte finish is more difficult to clean. You may also need to touch up scratches or marks by adding more of the same paint in the future.
