What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:
I want to replace all the furniture in the room. I open to changing the lighting fixtures. I would like to keep some of the photo galleries but am open to changing frames. I would like gallery layout ideas for what I have.

Do you have a preference for either paint or wall covering, or are you open to both?:
Requirements for this room:
1) The TV can not be over the fireplace as I feel it will be too high and I don’t want to strain looking up.
2) I need a screen for the fireplace.
3) This is the room the family spends the most time in. Furniture needs to be very durable and stain proof. I have three small children.
4) Most of the time people spend in this room are lounging so super comfortable seating is very important.
5) I have narrowed down the sofas I would like to buy. Preferably I would like a sofa from Mitchell gold either in semi analine leather or performance fabric, I would be open to a room and board sofa but only in semi analine leather (i tested even their sunbrella fabrics and found them not very stain resistant. I really really hate the palm trees etched into the glass in the foyer!! At some point I will replace those windows but its a project.

The Chandelier is staying and the sconces are staying.

The mural came with the house. I don’t love it but I feel bad to paint over it as it clearly took some work. I am open to suggestions. I would like to recarpet the stairs or do something with them. I would like new runners and rugs in this foyer and some furniture and decor.

.Using lighter colors in your medium-sized room will make it feel more airy and bright
For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
