Light & Airy Scandinavian Guest Bedroom Remodel

Project Description:

I would like to fulfill a life-long dream of living in a home decorated in primarily a Scandinavian/Nordic style, with slight influences from Japandi and mid-century modern. As a trial run with Decorilla, I would like to start off by decorating my guest bedroom.

Some feelings I want the room to evoke for me and my guests are welcomed, snug, relaxed, secluded.

I have been envisioning the room having a warmer color palette, to really evoke that welcoming feeling. However, I am not entirely settled on this, because I am not sure if I can make this happen and yet still have the room be cohesive with other rooms, where I definitely want cooler tones. I leave it to the designer's discretion to reason about whether I can make this happen.

I would love recommendations on the following:
* Queen bedframe
* Nightstand
* Rug
* Working desk, maybe on the smaller side, with chair
* Curtains, blackout
* Window treatments
* Some kind of chair
* Lighting

These are some of the details in Scandinavian design that I just absolutely love:
* Light, natural woods, similar to white oak
* Fluted wood paneling
* Geometric patterns, e.g., hexagons
* Splayed, tapered legs on furniture (e.g., see the photo of the coffee table that I attached)
* All shades of grey, from cloud gray to charcoal
* Soft, plushy textiles
* Lighting with spherical shades
* Minimal, functional design
* Touch of nature (e.g., with plants, pictures of plants/nature, or use of the color green)

It would be amazing if any or some of these can find their way into the design. However, I leave it up to the designer's discretion for if they can be incorporated and, if so, how.

Using lighter colors in your medium-sized room will make it feel more airy and bright

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
