High End Contemporary Open Living Space Design Project Description
We are buying a historic queen anne home that has a very large living / dining space that has the option to be partially separated from another family room using pocket doors. The family room is connected to a 3 seasoned porch separated by double doors that we'd like to use for hanging out / family games/entertaining. We want this home to look like it is in a magazine when it is done. We like clean walls with decorative accents and bold furniture with luxurious fabrics (e.g., velvet, leather)
We have a classic modern style + a dog and a toddler so want to find a functional yet beautiful aesthetic that works with our new home. We also have a few pieces that we'd like to incorporate in the design (ideally)
Our rugs need to be easily washable given the stage the family is at -- we've found ruggable to be good because they are washable but are open to anything else that can be cleaned; something durable would also work for us

This is an 1890s victorian home with many original details. We are moving from a small apartment to this home and so are working from almost entirely a blank slate. I love the idea of white walls with molding/details (e.g., painting the fireplace surround white) and with bold pops of color in the furniture (e.g., navy, teal)
It's a really big room and we want it to be functional and intentional. We are picturing the dining room on the right side of the room when looking at the floorplan near the pocket door in front of the bay window
The circular window has a radiator, with built in seating - we are interested in a seat cover and radiator cover (for all radiators) to protect our toddler from the heat
The green wall paper is not in the space but is in the entry way. We plan to keep it so want these designs to work with it
We also have a sonos system, inclusive of a black play bar for the TV, plus a Play 3, Subwoofer, and several Play 1s, all in white. These we'd like to have a space for speakers in each room of our home (e.g., on a table where our toddler can't reach)
We would also like to turn the doorway that is currently the entryway into the "parlor" into a bookshelf with a hidden door built in. I've attached a few examples into the 'things we'd like to keep section' since I wasn't sure where to put them.

We have a current sectional that we aren't sure will really fit. Nothing! This is a 3 season room that can have its windows removed to become a screened in porch, therefore, outdoor furniture is preferred. I really like ruggable's outdoor rugs for the same reason as the other rooms! Are you open to changing your wall colors?
