I want the room painted (not a fan of the current color), and I'm ambivalent about the chandelier, it can stay or it could go.

Looking for a table with room for 8, possibly 10 with an expansion if the room will allow. Need new window coverings, and any additional art/wall decorations or accessory furniture.

I prefer contemporary/modern/transitional overall. Definitely not traditional. I don't like clutter but I'm not an absolute minimalist--some accessories and other items are good.

I plan to paint the entire house eventually, sans possibly the kitchen and breakfast room.

For your main color, we chose to use gray because it is neutral and seen as elegant and classy. It compliments many colors such as white, blue, and yellow and works well as part of a color scheme in any room.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
