My priority is the kitchen/family room/ home office, especially the layout of the kitchen( if needs to change). Also the place where the TV goes.

I am open to do a full remodel of partial. For the kitchen, I am not sure what to do because people tell me that what I have is wood and I should keep it. But not necessarily I have to keep it. The TV wall furniture in the picture is no longer there and istead there is an empty wall that needs some work.
Please, take in account that my walls have knock down, so whenever I have to repair not sure it will come up the same and would not look as patches (I appreciate a comment about that)
Whole purpose is to make it look more modern but yet mediterranean style
