What do you currently dislike about the room?:

It is completely bare. There were 3 art pieces on each side of the stairways when we moved in, I took them down to decorate for the holidays and haven't put them back up. We also have high wall "niches" (for lack of a better description) that I have absolutely no idea what to do with. When we moved in, there were garden wall paper murals there that didn't match our style. We are open to removing the trim in these "niches" and any suggestions for this blank space.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:

We want to keep our existing chandelier, but besides that, there's not much else in the space. Anything other than the chandelier can go. The trees in the picture and the skeleton guy at the landing of our stairs (if you can see him in the picture) are halloween decorations that need to be removed. We left the trees simply because there was nothing else in our entry way, but they aren't practical. The skeleton guy weighs hundreds of pounds and needs to be disassembled, which is at the top of our "to-do" list....especially since its been almost 4 months since Halloween!!
