We do have logistical needs in terms of the timing and bundling of delivery items.

This room is in a house that is being completely renovated. The bedroom is on the lower level with one side opening to the outside (and deck overhang). Because of the renovation the carpet (Revolution Mills - Sanibel - Seashell) and wall paint (Sherman Williams - Snowbound) are brand new. We do not want to replace these. We are open to putting a rug over the carpet and possibly painting an accent wall though would likely prefer art (flexible).
What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:
I need to double check on artwork. We would like a king bed but planning on starting from scratch in this room.
We do plan to use a vendor for window treatments throughout the entire house. However, we are open to suggestions/purchases from you if they really complete the room.

I prefer functionality and open space to purely aesthetic design elements (ex, I don't like a bed with a bunch of throw pillows). I prefer to use aesthetic design elements judiciously. We are looking for a neutral to masculine vibe (husband and wife will share room).
We have not worked with an interior designer before. My husband wants a southwest or lodge feel. I like mediterranean or Latin (some color, patterns) style. They are not hugely off but do need some blending.
