Classic Mid-Century Modern Bedroom Design

Project Description

I have been in my apartment for five years but want to redo my bedroom. I need more storage space (ie bigger dresser / nightstands with drawers). I have a fixed layout for where my bed needs to be due to beams and TV placement on the wall. and chair for the corner, but need new bed, nightstands, dresser (big).
I will not be doing paint.

I generally like to find stuff on Etsy and 1st dibs. Midcentury modern mostly.

What do you currently dislike about the room?

The feel. Bed Size, clothing storage space. I want masculine meets danish mid-century and bright.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?

The white Kofod Larsen chair will go in the bedroom (I have two and one is in living room) That chair is my ideal design for everything. The slipper chair in the photos is already gone. The darkened brass sconce is new and stays (they are placed far enough apart for a king bed.
The room is narrow from headboard to feet, so the bed can't be more than 90" long. I need a platform bed (no frame plus headboard), needs to be very sturdy, no wobbling or creaking.

Bedroom:

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
