Bright Modern Living Room
Project Description:
I would like to get help with my family room. I have been struggling with it for a year, and I dont want to keep buying furniture that doesnt work. It's large and kind of an awkward space that is open to the kitchen and to what's going to be the dining room (see plan.I will move the dining room you see in the pictures to the area in front of the kitchen.) I am in urgent need of layout recommendations, where to put the TV, furniture (what kind of furniture), accessories selections, etc.
I also need a chandelier for the dining room area (which will be relocated to where the family room currently is) and some guidance on the entry foyer styling. I am keeping all existing elements, is there something else I should add to add a nice touch to it?
My design style is a mix of Z gallery and farmhouse
We are a family of 5, with small children, but I dont want the design to be and feel very child oriented.

Using lighter colors in your medium-sized room will make it feel more airy and bright
For your main color, we chose to use gray because it is neutral and seen as elegant and classy. It compliments many colors such as white, blue, and yellow and works well as part of a color scheme in any room.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
