My living room is a blank canvas and I don't know how to get my ideas out of my head and into the room. My home is a ranch and the living room and dining rooms are the first rooms you see when you enter through the front door. I would describe my taste as classy transitional glam.I like a room to look dressed up, especially the formal living and dining rooms. I like dramatic walls and bold lighting. with wall to wall ceiling high curtains and a warm color palette, like a toast tan or light brown; I also like black and white with gold hardware and accessories. My budget is south of 10k, more like 4-6K.

This room is the first room you see when you open the door. I want the room to say WOW that's classy. I Love velvet. I love velvet in rich colors like gold, deep purple and burgundy. I also like white and black, cream and browns. I also like contemporary and transitional rugs. Lastly, I like glamourous ,transitional and contemporary.

For your main color, I chose to use brown as it is rich and luxurious and adds to the glamorous look in this space.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
