Airy Contemporary Living & Dining Interior Design

Project Description

Need help with my living room/dining room design for our new build home. It is on the second floor. First floor is garage, entry and guest room. Second floor is living/kitch/dining. Third floor is master bedroom and the other two bedrooms.
We have already chosen floor, kitchen counter tops, cabinets and also backslash. This part we don't want to change.
We also purchased our new sofas(ligne roset) for living room.
The most important reason I choose decorilla is that we have a very long white wall.You will see it at the first sight when you enter the room.And I have no idea how to decorate it. We have thought about art, but want to sure it goes along well with other furnitures/decorations.

What do you currently dislike about the room?

It is too long compare to the width. It is in the middle of the adjacent town houses. So we only have windows on two side of walls. fortunately we have big windows on one side, which can provide sunshine when weather is good.
The long kitchen island seems not that useful.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?

We have purchased new ligne roset sofas:1)ploum sofa high back (grey) 2) TOGO (yellow) 3)Pumpkin(light blue) as in the design picture.
We did not buy the rug/coffee table in the picture and open to suggestions.
Although the lightings are all new, we are open to change them if we have good options.

Combined Living/Dining:

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
