Project Title:
A Frame Cabin Interior Design
Project Description:
Consultation on decor for hallway/entry/staircase included
We are building an A frame cabin out in the woods in Packwood, WA and need help designing and decorating the space head to toe. I am the queen of overthinking and suffer from analysis paralysis and need someone to take the helm of this design project and steer it to success. The cabin is near the Mount Rainer National Park with abundant elk herds that cross our property and also near a local ski mountain, White Pass. The cabin will serve as a vacation home for us and a rental when we're not using it. It's a small cabin, so we need it to be functional and organized, and will need some creative solutions for adding storage space.
We're currently in the framing phase. Need help on all aspects: tile, flooring, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting, furniture, decor, paint, wallpaper, etc. We want the space to look great of course, but we also need all of our selections to be DURABLE since the home will also serve as a rental.
Please work on the combined Kitchen/Living/Dining space first, then bathrooms, then bedrooms, hallway/entry.
I want it to feel like a cozy cabin but not too rustic or cliche. Kind of a Pendleton feel but not too SW- more PNW with maybe a boho twist?? Does that make sense? I also like vintage decor- think record players, needlepoint hoops, that sort of thing. ;)
I prefer lighter, more natural colors. I want to bring the forest feeling in: green colors, ferns, etc. For metals, I like gold accents. Paint-wise, I'm open to accent walls and I'd love to do some cool wallpaper. I LOVE texture.
I only have blueprints to go off of, no pics of the space.
Here's our Cabin-related google folder to share with the designers (see below):

Additional comments to designers:
- We plan to have a gas fireplace in the lower right corner.
- That entire wall of the great room will be windows with sliding doors in the middle.
- Would like some open cabinetry on the upper cabinets or shelving.
