Laura has always been design obsessed, and her interest in design grew after taking architecture classes in grade school. She obtained a degree in interior design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has had the opportunity to work with clients on a diverse range of projects all along the East coast. With a background that includes graphic design as well as interior design, Laura uses her strong knowledge of layout and space planning combined with a clean aesthetic and a few unexpected touches to create truly unique spaces that her clients love to call home.
From where do you draw most of your inspiration?
My inspiration can really come from anywhere and anything. When I see something beautiful or unusual, I’ll file it away in my memory for later, and when I least expect it, it’ll come back to the forefront to inspire the project I’m working on.
Tell us your biggest design secret:
I think the biggest thing that can make a space is layering. Colors, textures, and patterns all come together to make a space that’s really inviting, and I love to incorporate those things in unexpected ways.
What drives you to design?
I’ve been passionate about the arts since I was small, and I love that interior design allows me to be creative in the spaces we use most. As a designer, I get to touch my clients’ lives each day in a meaningful way. We spend so much time indoors that our spaces should really fit our needs and make us comfortable and happy, and I’m grateful that I have the chance to make that happen.
