Lani graduated from The Faculty of Art Design and Architecture (FADA) from The University of Johannesburg in 2008. She has always been incredibly creative; her ability to see things from a different perspective nurtured her interest in design and architecture. Lani has worked for architects in South Africa, where she worked on several residential and commercial designs. She decided to start her own interior design firm with a good friend; where she continued working on hospitality designs. She is a free thinker and self motivated and looks forward to new challenges
We know you love designing, but what about it do you love most?
The best thing for me as an interior designer is a good end result. I love being the designer that helps a client build/mould their dream space. Too often it is difficult getting an idea across and this is what I love most, to dig deep and get creative.
Describe your ideal project:
My ideal project would be a project that involves anything I have not done before. It is always exciting and rewarding tackling a new project, while learning and growing at the same time.
Describe your favorite project:
One of my favorite projects was designing a restaurant chain in South Africa. It brought out my inner artist and I loved every design aspect of the project. It taught me a great deal about hospitality design.
