Kristin’s passion for design came at an early age and was nurtured later on, through extensive travel opportunities around the world. This influenced her affinity toward eclectic, modern, and bohemian global styles. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Kristin has worked on many residential projects including single-family homes, apartments, and even restaurants. She takes great joy in creating a space that will be a reflection of the client and a space that the client would love to come home to after a long day!
From where do you draw most of your inspiration?
I am originally from South Africa and I have grown up traveling all over the world. I would say that most of my inspirations come from the different countries and places I have traveled to as well as the different cultures and people experienced from those places I have been. There is nothing better.
We know you love designing, but what about it do you love most?
I would say I love design and designing because at the end of the day it is a collaboration between client and designer. I myself as a designer want to reflect and encapsulate the client as much as possible throughout their spaces. I love the process of design and the collaboration between client and designer. I would say I also love to design spaces that in the end feel balanced and allow for functionality!
What drives you to design?
I would say what drove me to this career field is the fact that I could not see myself sitting in a cubicle for the rest of my life. I have always been creative and interior design and the design itself allows for me to truly reflect that creativity!
