I absolutely love the initial planning phase of design projects. Getting to know my clients, their needs and how to meet their wishlist is my favorite kind of problem - solving! It's so important to get this step right because it determines the course of the project and the level of success we reach!
Tell us your biggest design secret:
My best design secret would be to not over expose yourself to design inspiration. Sometimes it can be easy to get lost in the sea of Pinterest where there are so many great ideas, and it can actually cause you to not make progress with a project. My advice would be to narrow down your inspiration images and focus on specific elements from them to incorporate into your own design.
Describe your go-to style:
Personally, my design style has always been a bit eclectic but lately has been more heavily influenced by industrial elements. I love the combination of warmth, texture, bold colors and patterns in the industrial context, especially when there is exposed brick, iron, and concrete finishes.
