We know you love designing, but what about it do you love most?
Other than being able to spend my time being creative, I love that as an interior designer, I get to make each space reflect those that use it. Your home, your office, whatever it be should be a reflection of YOU and YOUR personality, YOUR likes and YOUR interests. That's what makes it fun! Each project is different from the last, because each client is different.
Tell us your biggest design secret:
I would have to say my biggest design secret is layering and balance. By adding in different textures, patterns and colors, it brings interest to the space, and helps make it feel inviting and finished. Keeping balance in mind is also important. In order for a space to feel balanced, I will bring in wood tones to warm it up, deeper colors to offset the lighter colors, and bringing in greenery to make it feel not so stale.
What drives you to design?
There are so many "copy and paste" or "cubical" type spaces out there, where personality lacks. The world is beautiful and a lot of the time we catch ourselves wishing we were somewhere else. Instead, I want the designs that I create, having people wanting to spend their time there. I strive to create and transform spaces that change the way people see and experience them.
