Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main cabinet color, we chose to use gray because it is a great transitional color that will last for years to come.

If you do end up painting your IKEA cabinets, use a semi-gloss paint finish as it is ideal for bathrooms and cabinets. It has a slight shine and is easy to clean.

Ok let’s go lighter and have the coffee nook

I think I am leaning towards the lighter cabinet...I was thinking lighter when I first started looking at this space, so that's where my preference is! Okay sounds good on the coffee nook. Shall I switch that out on the left wall? You are still gaining a lot of storage with upper and lower cabinets, but I think it will feel more balanced with the countertop and backsplash there to break things up! :) LMK!
