Transitional Foyer Interior Design Ideas

Need to pull together the foyer/entryway next! This is the are I had also attached pictures of during the last project. We have a couple of pieces of furniture already, which I’d like to keep and incorporate. This area should have a little bit more of a classic/antique feel to it. As much as I’d like to keep the wallpaper to serve the integrity of the home, I just don’t LOVE it the way I had hoped I’d come to after a few months of living here. The wallpaper does extend all the way up to the upstairs hall, so whatever we do in terms of wall covering, we will likely keep going with up there. Would be open to another wallpaper choice, but that may be more trouble than its worth. Also might like to update some of the fixtures which are all brass/gold, and add a carpet runner of some kind up there stairs as the stairs are extremely slippery. Depending on the furniture layout and design with what we already have, may like to add some type of round foyer table in the middle? We also have found two photographs at a framing shop that we really love, but haven’t yet purchased- one is a huge sailboat from the 1914 America’s cup- the other is a water map of the area where we live-some nautical theme there? We DO love next to the beach!
