The rocking chair. It was my Grandfather's. I could move it to another room, but I thought it went well in here. I'm open to moving it, just not getting rid of it. I have lots of quilts that my grandmother made. I would love to incorporate some of those, I just don't know how to do that. They are too small for the bed; we have a king-sized bed.
We are alright with the ceiling fan. We can get a different one, but we must keep a ceiling fan in the room by my husband's request.
Also, we have animals, so I want the design to be pet friendly. The chair in the corner is literally for one of my dogs to sleep on. We do not have to keep that chair, but I want something for my dogs to sleep on (to keep them off the bed).

This room needs a major overhaul. The tub needs to go! It's too big and doesn't even work right now. The flooring has to go and I think we will need to replace the subfloor because we have had some leaks.
There is a skylight that lets in a lot of sunlight, which is great for my plants. I consider my bathtub kind of like a nursery for my plants that aren't doing well, and I switch them out around the house. I want a bathtub - in fact, we have one picked out that we like. I'll upload a picture. But it would be nice to have an actual place for my plants (that is not in the bathtub). Also, a must-have with the bathtub: I need a hand-held showerhead. The bathtub will be used to water my plants and bathe my dog, so that is a must-have.
There is a brick wall behind the toilet (that is a chimney that runs up through the bathroom from the basement). We have talked about pulling off the drywall to expose the brick. We have also considered adding a window on the back side of the room - making kind of a corner window with the one that is there. (We have to think about the cost of this.) That side is east, so it would get morning sun. And, the window that is there does not open, so it would be nice to have one that opens. There are lots of woods in the backyard, so it would be nice to look out at the trees.
I want the bathroom to have a spa-like feel. I like the white, but I don't want it too bland. I like having white towels because I can bleach them. I have lots of pets!
The way it looks now is how it was when we moved in over 20 years ago! LOL! That's probably obvious!!
