Project Description:
This kitchen is a workhorse kitchen that gets used multiple times a day. I love to cook and occasionally bake. My two-year-old likes to help out in the kitchen too. Since this is a smaller kitchen, I was thinking about ceiling-height cabinets and drawers or pullouts to increase storage. It can be very frustrating with the counter space.
The floors are also very frustrating. While they look pretty, it is such a pain to clean. I sweep and mop and it still looks dirty. Any spills go everywhere via the grout. It also does not feel very nice under the feet. I like the rug that I bought. Blue is a color that is constant throughout the house.
The cooktop is ok. I enjoy cooking on gas but it can be a pain to clean and the grates are hard on pots and pans. I like my oven and dishwasher and would like to keep them.
I would like to start using the breakfast nook. I love sitting in the kitchen as it gets the best light in the house (hence all of my plants). I apologize for the recycling in the corner. The recycling center was closed due to Mardi Gras.
I was also thinking of a floor-to-ceiling pantry. The current one goes up to the ceiling but the doorway does not and so I cannot really use that space efficiently. I like to stock up on sales.
I am looking for an easy-to-clean kitchen that is efficient and aesthetically pleasing. If my kitchen is clean, I feel a lot better throughout the day. I appreciate your help with finding something in my budget. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Also let me know if any of the attachments don't open. Somehow they saved two different ways?
Thank you,
