Morning light

In the process of remodeling. Just added the crown molding and painted the room Sherwin Williams Alabaster. Need to replace carpet (welcome recommendations) and would like ideas for built in's around fireplace. Open to ALL NEW furniture. Have 2 walk in closets so don't "need" a dresser. The picture you see with no furniture is the OLD paint color. Would love advice on what to do with Trey ceiling. Can also change out light but need a fan in the room (if not on the ceiling then a floor model?). In the sitting area - would prefer to take out canned lighting and do something different - perhaps center chadelier and then accent lighting in bookcases we build by fireplace? Also open to hanging curtains. I realize carpeting this room is expensive so I have a separate budget for carpet that is not included in the 10-15k I expect to spend with you on decorating.

I do have furniture in my front room we can move to sitting room. I either want the sitting area to be a sitting area OR perhaps have a desk/ office area. I will upload a pic of furniture that can be used up there in the section below - but we don't have to use this furniture. There is nothing in the room I want to keep so blank slate for design.
