Having a lot of windows and open space is a blessing and a curse :) I am having a difficult time dividing up the space without making it feel awkward or floaty/ random. The furniture in the room does not feel harmonious and elegant, and things started to feel cluttered. I love the big windows and fun shapes. I like leaving them open for sun light and they make the place feel bigger and open, but it lacks privacy.

I had recently purchased the TV stand in the photo (wood & white). I can still return it, but if I could keep it and make everything else work, that would be great! This TV stand is customizable (from IKEA). So the door colors could be changed. also the ones on each sides are separate units that can come apart (and be returned). I like the wide modern TV stand look, but I am also wondering if it's making the living room look smaller.

Couch is the most expensive piece of the furniture in the living room currently (and heavy!) For that reason, I kept making the efforts to keep it, but I also think it's the reason why I am having such a hard time getting the look I want. It's very dark and bulky. It's power reclining sofa from Macy's. I tried looking for the exact model, but I don't think they sell this model anymore. If we can keep it while creating a great look, great! That means more budget to spend on other stuff. If not, that's okay too. I am okay with either.

In the photo, you will see a white desk in the den space. Again - can be returned, but better if I can keep it. Chair is there temporarily. It's from the dining room.

I've tried a different online design service and it did not work out well. I am hoping decorilla could help me change that experience.

1) I would like to create a warm, inviting space that feels elegant, expensive and creative. This is our first purchased home. Both my fiance and I have tech job, but we have creative hobbies like music production and drawing. I would like it to feel like it's artists' home :)

2) We need lots of storage to hide things like wires, consoles, remote controllers, cat toys, etc. I do not like having these exposed.

3) We have a kitty who sheds a lot. Her hair is mostly white. So dark fabric is not preferred as it will catch her hair and will require frequent cleaning.

4) We will be getting a 75 inch TV and mounting it on the wall where the TV is right now in the photo. If pieces are right, I am flexible with the budget for a little more (especially if we end up replacing the couch). It could technically also be mounted on the wall next to the stairs if someone could think of a creative spacing ideas. (all the right cables are installed there).

5) I need a desk space. I have a white PC, keyboard and a monitor.

6) We need stools for the kitchen breakfast bar.

7) Lastly, time is important. It's been already 3 months since we moved in and nothing has been really settled due to the previous online design process. We are eager to settle in, be done, and enjoy living in our new home :)

We also have a first floor ADU space that we will be Airbnb'ing out, and really big roof top that's not been furnished yet. If all goes well, I may work with the designer again for those spaces !
