I feel this is the most important part of the project. Kitchen and family room is where we spend most of our time.
I want something modern, but not cold. I am struggling with specific ideas but I can share some pictures of things I like.
Things to consider:
1- I want 2 colors for cabinets in kitchen, I want white and a grayish tone of wood (maybe similar to gameroom?? Not sure, I am open for suggestions ( Please see pic "color_of_wood.png)
2- I want the cabinets to go all the way to the ceiling, I don't want to have gaps between cabinets and ceiling. I want that clean look. I am ok with the top of cabinets being for looks only, no need to open or anything. (see picture "high_cabinet.png")
3- I don't want to see the actual hood, I want it to be covered by wood or stone (I like the stone covered hood from the video tour). I want the hood to be the focal area of the kitchen, so I want something really nice there. Also I want the hood area to look very grand, so make sure its big.
4- I like the thicker counter tops and I don't want the ones that continue on the sides. I don't want marble or any natural stone that can stain. I want something that wont stain and is easy to clean.
5- I like drawers better than doors
6- I want to use Sub-Zero refrigerators and Wolf appliances.
7- I want a normal size sink in the middle island, not the mini vegetable one.
8- The entrance to the buttlers pantry should be hidden by a cabinet door, so it should look like its part of the kitchen, but then when you open, you can see the pantry.
9- I will need help picking the details of the kitchen(sink, faucets, etc), so please tell the designer to take their time.

I am pretty open to see some creative ideas from the designers on this 2 spaces.
I want to keep the color of the walls white, but I definitely want the designers to get creative with details on the ceilings and with the tv wall area.
I want a super deep, modern, comfortable couch that is easy to clean and has protection against kids :) I don't like leather couch, so definitely fabric. Our family room is pretty big, so I am picturing being able to seat at least 10 people.
My husband loves TV, so please keep in mind he will want the biggest tv possible.
Other than that I am open to see what the designers can come up with.
