Need assistance updating my teenage son's room into something more mature that will carry him through high school and beyond. His room is relatively small. He would like a bigger than twin sized bed. He would like a desk in his room to accommodate not only remote classes (at least for now) and homework, but also gaming with 1-2 full-screen monitors. On your website, there is an example room titled "Teenager bedroom Transformation" by Tina, Designer: Yumilka S. There were several things about this room that my son liked, including the brick wall paper, bed and desk.

Small. Dark. Not great full-wall space (one wall is broken by entrance to bathroom and closet; one wall is broken by entrance to room; another wall has 2 windows; leaving only 1 full wall with no breaks). Horrible window coverings.

My son wants a desk large enough to accommodate his gaming which consists of 1-2 large monitors, a PC, his laptop computer and his large gaming chair. There is currently a very large Ethan Allen dresser in the bedroom. My son currently uses 5-6 of the dresser drawers to hold his clothes. We need to keep this in mind when designing the room as he will need some space for storing folded clothes.

Since your room is smaller using a dark and rich color will make it feel cozy, warm, and lounge-like

For your main color, we chose to use gray because it is neutral and seen as elegant and classy. It compliments many colors such as white, blue, and yellow and works well as part of a color scheme in any room.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
