I don't dislike anything now, just need to finish it

The couch for sure I want to keep. I'd like to keep the rug too, though I would maybe consider changing it

I have a tendency to go too "safe" and "simple." I' don't want anything crazy, but would like to try to be less boring. As you can probably tell I really like white, grays, and blues (especially navy). The kitchen which is open to the room has white cabinets, a light gray backsplash, white/gray counters, and brushed nickel handles. I generally don't like leather furniture very much. I look cool tone woods, not warm tone wood. I like dark woods (like floor color) or gray tone woods or I really like the "shell stain" from Room and Board. We have a cabinet that color in the mudroom that I really like. I'd also like to find a chandelier for the room.

When shopping online I found the Restoration Hardware "Herringbone sideboard" and thought it was cool looking. Not saying it needs to be in the room, but was just an idea of something that caught my eye.

We are leaning towards doing some built ins in the inlets on either side of the fireplace. Considering either floating shelves (maybe that match the floor color) or white cabinets. Open to suggestions too!

For the pictures of other rooms in my home section I just attached pictures of the kitchen, master bathroom, and guest bathroom since basically every room in our home is a work in progress. But we had the house built so I picked all of the tile, countertops, etc for those rooms. So should be helpful in seeing what I like.
