I know it's a little weird to have the living room close to the kitchen and the dining room further away, but I like the big picture windows and thought this would offer us better views. We are planning to have a mounted TV on the wall shared between living room and pantry. I would like to have low profile couches. As much as I love white couches, my kids (and honestly, husband) and two dogs will probably get the it stained, so something a little darker or stain resistant would be needed.
