Room has historically been used as a children's playroom. We have cleaned out most of the toys and want to convert the space to a teen hang out room that can also be used for family fun. Boys are 16 and 14. We want to get rid of the existing couch and chair and replace potentially with theater seats combined with swivel chairs or LoveSac and add bar stools by existing countertop. The boys like Seatcraft Enigma Row of 4 with middle love seat, a link is attached.

The room will primarily be used for watching TV, playing video games, and hanging out. Also like music corner shown in recreational sample as the boys have a keyboard and guitars (sample link is attached). Mom's style is traditional with some glam and the boys are more transitional and modern.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:

The boys would like to keep their existing game table which is a combo pool/ping pong/air hockey table - it is a Fat Cat Original Pocky Table and a picture is on my Pinterest page attached below. The boys also have a Pop-a-Shot that they would like to keep and there is a picture of it on my Pininterest page attached below. Pictures of both are also attached below.

Adding a minifridge would be a nice additional. Also there is a stain on the carpet near the right of the stairs that would be great to cover. Also would like to stain the cabinet colors a different color. Cabinets in other rooms are a darker stain.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
