Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish

The home has a mid-century-modern feel with exposed brick walls, arches, pine ceilings and dark beams. The challenge is how to seamlessly decorate/furnish the front porch, the hallway, which opens into the great living room with soaring 20 feet ceiling and windows/patio doors that opened into a large 4000 sq. ft rear patio. The rear patio has a pool and a large side pavilion, all of which overlook the open water of the Potomac River. I would like to create a "wow" factor from the moment a guest came to the front of the house and see the front porch, then see through the double front door to the open living room and rear patio/river.
My decorating style is sophisticate, warm/welcoming contemporary. I have several photos of livingroom staging from Meredith Baer Home that I like and resemble my home to share.
I included some inspirational photos of the style of interior design that I like from Meredith Baer. I like the stucco walls, unclutter neutral furnishing, the natural wood floor, and the warmth of the rug and accent chairs. I have included Meredith Baer design stagings (Brentwood Park Estate & Del Oro Eclectic, Ojai) that reflect my design taste. I think two must dos are to replace the existing carpet with wide-plank flooring and then repainting the yellow walls with a neutral hue. I want to collaborate with the designer to incorporate high, low, and vintages pieces as well as some existing pieces to create a warm, inviting and modern space. Lighting design inside and outside are important. Also, I am looking for quality and sophisticated furnishing, but not too high end as I plan to sell the home in two years.
