For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish

We are completely re-doing our guest bedroom. I have purchased a wall paper and would love to use that on a wall. If the designer feels it would be better in the dining area, we are open to that as well. I love modern, glam, traditional, blacks, whites, golds and natural wood colors. Pops of color is fun. We are very open to ideas. I just want these rooms to be beautiful and look higher end and well thought out. We will not be changing the white 4" shutters or the hardwood floors but we are open to furniture, paint, lighting, decor, etc. The dining room is visable from the front door of our home. The first room you see is the wine room, which I have attached a photo of. Its has two wood see through things...so you can also see the dining room. The rooms don't need to match, but flow would be nice.
