Project Description

Recently moved from St.Louis, Missouri to Central Texas for job promotion. In the process we have downsized. Looking for a new design & decor.

1. Bedroom #1 is for a 11 year old boy who is out going & loves the outdoors.

2. Bedroom #2 will be used as a guest room. Our two oldest children our young adults who we wish to make them feel at home when they both visit. Since moving away from all family & friends we are expecting many visitors. We originally considered two queen size Murphy beds, however would also be open to two queen beds. We wish to incorporate the idea of the oldest children’s college mascots with uniformity. The mascots are bison & antelope. We wish for a modern design to capture the feel of Texas. We also wish for this room to feel a bit like a upscale hotel for guest. While searching on the internet we did find a Buffalo & antelope wall statue decor that we liked.

3. Since the bathroom will be used by both of these bedrooms we would like the design to transition nicely between both. We plan to keep flooring, cabinets, tile and fixtures the same.

Living Room:

This colour is going to add beautiful depth to the space and really hone in on that boutique vibe you are going for in this room.

I would like to recommend painting the baseboards the same colour to really make things feel a little more bespoke.

Matte finish will provide a more contemporary look while a semi gloss will provide a little more protection from scratches etc. My recommendation is consult the painting trade/store prior to purchasing paint and see what they recommend.

Living Room:

The colour I am suggesting is for the panelled areas in Brennan's Room. I am suggesting an off black so that it reads as black but it is ever so slightly more subtle.

Similar to the Guest Bedroom, I am also recommending to paint the baseboards black on the walls that have the panels. On the walls that are white paint or wallpaper, I would leave the baseboards white.

Same as the other room, matte finish will be more contemporary but semi-gloss will provide more protection. Check with your paint store/paint trade to confirm what they think is best.
