Project Title:
Contemporary Modern Living Room and Porch Design
Project Description:
We are starting with a blank slate because is under construction. We are moving into our first home and are looking for help to bring our dream to life. There is some flexibility with the floorplan (windows/walls may be able to be moved) but we would need to know if those changes are necessary.
I'd say we like modern/transitional looks with a timeless feel, particularly in the kitchen; we also like a little bit of glitz and are okay with color (for example, we have a deep blue and gold rug).
We like the idea of including butcher block in our kitchen, either in a counter or maybe a table but are a little unsure of the maintenance. The counters from grothouse really caught our eye. We liked the counters and the stone, but do not like the glass inlays in the cabinets or the lighting.
We are looking for comfort, durability and easy maintenance since we expect to have little ones around soon and we have a dog (yellow/cream colored for hair shedding).
We are pretty open in terms of color and aren't afraid of color in our designs. It doesn't have to be all neutral. We added a few pictures of the florals we had at our wedding - we'd love for you to use them as inspiration when designing.
