Contemporary Home with Accent Fireplace Wall- After Rendering

The main reason to extend the drapery this far past the window edge would be so that when the drapes are fully opened, you'll have full view of the window opening. The drapery will "stack" completely off of the window.

If you only go the standard 6" to 8" past the edge of the window, when you draw the drapery open, a portion of your window will still be covered with drapery. Approx. 1/3 of the window would always be covered with drapery.

I think it will look nice either way, it really depends on how important it is to have a full view from these windows.

We also still have a set of renderings available for the master bedroom as we've only done the one set. We can make the change for the nightstands, add the mirror, incorporate the built-in desk, and extend the drapery to the corners for another set of renderings.

I'll put it on the list. If you can then reach out to Decorilla order dept. and see if they can give you a more accurate shipping time. Not sure why the Perigold site is saying 30+ weeks. This is a vendor that is to the trade only, so we can't place the order direct, it will need to go through Perigold.

Thank you! I'll let you know.

Perfect - lets swap it in the shopping list? It looks like now its 12 weeks for shipping so perhaps not so bad (or i missed the fact that it also takes many many weeks for manufacture?)

Yes, I would center the desk area with drawers on each side. I would do the pocket doors over the desk area only, not all the way to the floor. If Cal. Closets needs help, I'll be glad to send a quick sketch.

Here is the link to the manufacturers website on the dining room credenza. Vanguard has a good reputation for quality. I love this piece, have been looking for something similar, but nothing is jumping out at me. I'll keep searching.

    Thanks Wanda!

Yes, we're loving San Diego so far, its always been a vacation spot for us and how amazing that its now home.

Re: desk - good idea on the pocket doors, do you have any suggestions on how we'd have it built? Cupboard in the middle with drawers on both sides?

Ok, good to know that quality is probably good.

Lets swap out the Anthro night stand then.

btw, did you find another buffet that could work for the living room? else did you want to swap out the new one we did the second rendering with? I'd love to have a look at the product details and see if its worth the 30 week wait.

Oh dang - yes lets see what else is available - i did love how the tone of this buffet complements the rug we chose.

I just saw the delivery date on the Vanguard buffet cabinet is 30 weeks!! Crazy. I'm thinking we're going to have to reselect?
  • Wanda P.
    Love the larger size!

I'm thinking you mean the living room renderings, right? Yes, it's perfect.
  • Tsing Ling.
Oh great. I'll let him know!
  • Wanda P.
Yes, we can definitely enlarge, not a problem. I think separating the space will look very nice. I usually start with the minimum workable size for pricing and we can enlarge from there.
