Project Description:

Law firm reception area. I just signed up with Decorilla for a design for the reception area of my law firm in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA. I just bought the building so the space is a clean slate. Measurements are 15’9” x 15’ for the reception area. It may be reduced to a 14’ x 15’ in the next year. I put the links below of the property, a reception desk that I like in theory (but it may be too cheap looking), and some items I liked from room and board. I also included a link to the business district for Chestnut Hill. It is a fabulous area of Philadelphia. And I put a link for my law firm so you get a feel. It would be great to be able to incorporate that steel blue somehow. The exterior awning may be steel blue. Haven’t ordered that yet.

Additional comments to designers:

Would like to have a lounge like environment that doesn't feel necessarily like a law office. I want it to be warm and comfortable. II would like a front desk that a client could sit at on the other side. It would be awesome if there could actually be two working spaces in the front area but maybe not enough space. I would like a small, coffee station too with a glass door fridge. Thank you!

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
