For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish

We are not satisfied with our current couch for several reasons: 1) The fabric is easily scratched by our cats, so we need a more durable, scratch-resistant material. 2) We prefer a large U-shaped sofa. 3) The storage compartments in the sofa, which we initially thought would be useful, actually divide the sofa inefficiently. 4) We dislike the curved structure of the sofa.
However, we do appreciate the high back of the sofa, as it provides comfort for our necks and heads when we read or sit.
We aim to avoid clutter, so we would love an elegant coffee table with storage units to keep things tidy.
Additionally, we are unhappy with the shelves behind the TV, as their width is longer than necessary. We have attached photos for reference.
We do not want carpets on the floor.
We use an iRobot to clean the living room, so we need the legs of all furniture to be high enough for the iRobot to fit underneath while vacuuming.
However, we do appreciate the high back of the sofa, as it provides comfort for our necks and heads when we read or sit.
