Project Description

I'm moving into a new apartment with stunning views of the river. I want it to feel classy and tranquil.

As for stores, I do like Surya.com, Uttermost, Arteriors, Nuevo, I also like CB2 and CB, WE, PB or shower curtains, BUT I'M OPEN

I really like Leftbank for art and quality of the art, but I'm open.
I also like Williams Sonoma and Rejuvenation.

In general, I do like organic and interesting looking objects and maybe a touch of glam.

What do you currently dislike about the room?

I have not installed any art and lighting.
I need a new bed and headboard. The current bed is full size and I don't mind the full size bed, but open to queen if you think it will make a big difference.
Need new side tables, table lamps, maybe ottoman, bench or chaise by window? Need some decor and maybe plants - I like the idea of wall planters. I would like help accessorizing the window sill and perhaps dresser.

A full length mirror would be nice.

I think I would like some white or sheer curtains. There is a new white sheer shade there that I would like to keep, but curtains might be nice.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?

I would definitely like to keep the rug, art, dresser, and sconces (place them with the dresser because I like how they look with that - like in my old bedroom).

I'm open to keeping the accent chair or replacing it.

I would like to do flexible removable panel trim on the wall behind the bed!

I also wanted to mention that I care very much about the quality of the items so please pay attention to that.

All of the vendors that I mentioned in this brief are giving us a nice extra Decorilla discount, but I also don't want to limit the design if you have to source from other places.

I think if I get two side tables, a queen bed might not fit because the closet door is in the way. I was considering removing the closet door completely and putting a desk there. I'm not sure what to do and would love your advice! I'm open either way and a desk is not mandatory if it doesn't fit the space.
I will not have a TV in the bedroom

I like the general position of the bed currently because I get the best view there!

Bedroom:

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.

Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
