Brown and Neutral Living Room Design

I have a 1920s Georgian colonial. I find it difficult to find a balance between keeping with the classic style of the home but also incorporating my style as well. I want to make the living room something that is comfortable for my family, but also makes sense with the layout and can accommodate large groups of people since we host often.

NOTES:
I need my living room from 1920 colonial. Wains coating darker I would like lighter. I need fixed lighting for the space is dark.

The living room is a large space for family gathering. Need more usage of space. I likes a sectional and more seating area. Have two young kids . Would like to keep toys out of sight.

I like the 3D concept

May want window treatments but I likes natural light.

I have lots of molding that should be painted.

I have some existing furniture. I have a brass coffee table.

I like West Elm, RH and Pottery Barn. I don't want house to look like a Pottery House magazine.
