Absolutely! I'll re-render the first image and the plan view with the chairs instead so you can see the proportions.
  • Priyesh
Sounds good, anyways we can see how it would look?
  • Joyce H.
Let's try two of those plus a side table in between. Should be a perfect fit for that space!
  • Priyesh
    Nice..let's do it.
  • Joyce H.
Found a charcoal... and it's really cheap too! http://www.sohomod.com/lk06-1-sofa-bed-by-j-m-furniture.html
  • Priyesh
The one first link is nice - could you get one in a color that matches with the apt?
  • Joyce H.
It's really difficult to find a sleek, modern, sleeper chair. I've used this kind in the past: http://www.hayneedle.com/product/amiensconvertibleaccentchairbedincream.cfm
You can see how I used them in gray here: http://www.houzz.com/photos/4368468/East-Village-Penthouse-contemporary-living-room-new-york

Or we could go with a sleeper ottoman, like this one: http://www.nyfu.com/beds-sleeping/ottoman-beds/ottobed-ottoman-bed.html
That way, you can still do two sleeker side chairs while still having your sleeper aspect.
  • Priyesh
    Hi Joyce,
I like the concept of the chair but think its too pricey. Are there any alternatives that entail for instance a slick chair that turns into a sofa bed or something that could turn into extra sleeping space if I had guests over?
  • Joyce H.
Glad you like the renderings Priyesh!

Is the chair a bit too much? Here is one that I originally wanted to put in, but the price point is a bit high at $1,485 for the chair and $350 for the ottoman. But trust me, it's incredibly comfortable.

What about some of the other options I had originally sent?

Or, we can do two comfortable chairs with a small round ottoman or just the side table.
Option 1, still a little pricy, but amazingly comfortable and I love the style: http://sohoconcept.com/products/occasional-chairs/zara-chair
The price point varies per fabric choice, but if we go with a black fabric I think I can find it for as low as $540. Leather is going to be around $800. For this type of chair, that's actually a really amazing price, but if it sounds too expensive still, I can keep looking! (It typically sells for between $1,000-$1,500)

There's plenty of sources which sell the lounge. I'll make sure to find it at a good price!
  • Priyesh
I love the first one, but hope its not too expensive :)
  • Joyce H.
I certainly will! Let me send you some chaise options first as well.

We could do a Le Corbusier inspired lounge: http://nuevoliving.com/Products/PDF/HGGA120.pdf

    Or this similar look:
    http://www.allmodern.com/Eurostyle-Josephine-Leatherette-Chaise-Lounge-EY1907.html

We could also do a chair and lounge such as this Wegner inspired chair:

Any of these on the right track?
  • Priyesh
Will do Joyce - let me know if you can make those revisions we spoke about below as well for the 3d model.

    Thanks,
  • Joyce H.
Thank you for choosing me Priyesh! You can re-upload the floor plan you've already submitted and so I can get started on the 3D model.

I'm very excited to start putting together your design!

Hi Magda, I would like it to be separated.

    Thanks,
    Priyesh

    Hi Priyesh,

I am really excited to work on your studio! I was wondering, would you like your bed/private area to be more separated from the day/living room zone?

    Thanks,

    Magda

    Hi Priyesh,
It will be a pleasure for me to do a proposal for you. So far everything seems to be pretty clear. Should I have any questions I shall ask.

    Best regards,
    Daisy

    Hi Vicki,
There's a kitchen in the middle of the room, there's two large windows and then right at the entrance there's closet space (quite a lot actually). There's a small cabinet next to the kitchen where my microwave is, a coffee table, couch and tv stand, as well as few lamps (I have three, one in each corner). The walls and ceilings are sheetrock. I also uploaded a pic of the kitchen wall.
    Thanks
  • Vicki O
    Hi Priyesh,
Great space! It will be helpful to know the overall dimensions of the apartment and the elements in the room e.g the kitchen, sink windows. Your ceiling looks like its made of concrete, is it? And can you take a dead on picture of the kitchen wall and upload it please, thanks!
  • Priyesh
Hi - I am open to moving the bed, however, bear in mind that the AC unit is placed on the other corner so it would block that if I were to move the bed in that space. I'm actually fine with the current slides and wouldn't need to change them.
  • Michelle C
    Hello,

I know you were pretty clear on the bed placement, but are you open to changing its location with the addition of proper window treatments (blackout shades). I think cornering the bed like it does really disrupts the flow of the space.

    Hi Christine,
I do entertain (probably not as much as I should do though). I wouldn't mind some space for dining but also think a kitchen isle or bar would be a good fit for that. I don't usually work from home, but when I do, I'm comfortable with just working off my couch.
    Thanks,
    Priyesh

    Hi Priyesh,
Just a question about the use of the space. Do you entertain often? Would you like to have space for inviting people to dine? Do you work from home and maybe would like table surfaces for a laptop, etc?
    Thank you!
    Christine

Thanks Lani. I just uploaded the picture to my project - its a cascading painting of NYC. Let me know if you need anything else.
  • Lani K
Hello Priyesh, wow what an amazing studio you have!! Can you please upload a detailed photo of your artwork you would like to keep? Preferably from a front facing perspective. Thanks Lani
