Stacey's strong mid-western roots established a hard work ethic and a commitment to creating lasting relationships with clients. (You can thank her devoted mom for that). She began her design education when earning a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design & also a degree in Graphic Design. She continued with a professional career that has lead her down many paths. She has traveled to many regions of the country, beautifying commercial and residential spaces while utilizing her fun, high energy personality. (Just wait until you hear her laugh!) What can you expect working with Stacey? Getting to know clients is one of her favorite aspects of the business. She takes inspiration by building ideas from the things you love - color, pattern, hobbies, etc. She views every project as an opportunity to help the owner find their own design voice. By assisting her clients in making decisions that will lead to a completed project showcasing their personal style, space becomes something they can be proud of. When she's not lost in the fabric racks or buried under piles of paint chips, you can find her spending time with her beautiful little girl (you may be lucky enough to meet her), and her witty 18-year-old step-son. She married her childhood sweetheart after reconnecting many years later and she thanks him for putting up with her long work hours and wild ideas! If you're looking for beauty and function, with a little fun along the way, you've found the right designer.
From where do you draw most of your inspiration?
I draw most of my inspiration from - YOU! It could be a family heirloom, a favorite book, piece of art or something as simple as a pot holder. For me, a design without inspiration is flat. It is important to draw from somewhere to begin and then start the journey together.
Tell us your biggest design secret:
My biggest design secret is that there are no rules in creativity! I love mixing styles, textures, patterns finishes, colors, etc. If it looks good and it makes us feels good - we are following ALL of the rules that matter the most.
Describe your ideal project:
In a perfect world my ideal project includes a limitless budget and the fastest time for completion! But, in the real world, my ideal project is one that seems impossible. The room you have been looking at since moving in 10 years ago, the bathroom with the pink tile, the bonus space that collects laundry and random storage ... these are ideal for me!
