Nazila has a diverse background with a BS in interior design, extensive studies in fine arts for and attendance of culinary school as well. She considers herself as a creative person but also loves the practicality of design. She enjoys doing architectural drafting. Much of her inspiration comes from exposure to cultures when traveling. Since she can remember, Nazila has loved changing the lay out of her own spaces, reusing pieces in a new way. Any time a client is up to a change in this way, she enjoys the challenge. She loves being a design problem solver. Nazila currently lives and practices design in Los Angeles.
From where do you draw most of your inspiration?
I try to follow the fashion trends of each season and I think I get very inspired by the textures and the colors. I also love to look at the culinary magazines, some dishes make me inspire too.
Describe your favorite project:
I love designing for the large families because there are a lot of challenges to make sure to accommodate everybody's needs and style. I also love to create spaces for kids since they are not afraid of any colors or textures and sky is the limit when it comes to being creative for a young kid.
What drives you to design?
What drives me the most about design and the reason that I decide to become a designer is the changes that good design can make in peoples lives and also how effective a design can be when you are running a business. To me design can change your mood and energy and the productivity when you are living or working in the space.
