Jacek has gained knowledge in interior design throughout the years by working in many different cultures. The fact that he is quite young in this industry encourages him to search for more and more when it comes to the newest trends and brand-new technical solutions. In his designs, he tries to make every detail work together. He finds inspiration from everywhere and believes it´s fundamental when it comes to creating the client's vision.
What drives you to design?
What drives me about design is searching for the best solution when it comes to the usage of space. The most demanding and vital part of proper design is to create the best plan according to basic ergonomic aspects including the opportunities that space offers, the needs of investors, and keeping in mind that the whole arrangement should be timeless, original, and meet expectations of every user. Sometimes I like to compare 2D planning to activities such as sudoku or crossword. When a good site plan is done then the best yet to come.
From where do you draw most of your inspiration?
I draw the most inspiration from the architecture itself. I wish that every interior project should consider or respect the characteristics of buildings. Especially the historical ones. Not in a literal way of course. There is a lot of beauty hidden behind old flooring or ruined cornices. It can be easily evoked and become a fundamental part of whole interior design. I also feel like there is a lot of inspiration that we can draw from nature, plants, the structure of tree bark, ripple marks drawn by water on sand, or lighting that travels around every structure it meets. Those can be easily reflected in furniture or interior design. Not in a literal but metaphorical sense also.
